Funeral services for Donald (Skinny) Jondal, 61, will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Borger officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. A graveside flag-folding service will be conducted by American Legion Post 191 of Webster City.

Friends may call at the Foster Funeral Home until the time of service Saturday.

Mr. Jondal, a Burlington resident many years, recently returned to Webster City. He died Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Des Moines. He had been in ill health the past six months.

Donald Howard Jondal, the son of Olaf and Vera Hicks Jondal, was born March 22, 1925 at Webster City. He was employed at the Franklin Manufacturing Company. He served with the U.S. Army from 1948-54, serving in Korea.

He married Mary Conkling on July 8, 1957 at Webster City. The couple resided in Burlington, where Mr. Jondal was employed with Murray Iron-Trane for 22 years. He was later employed by the J.I. Case Company. The couple moved back to Webster City in November, 1986.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Jondal is survived by one daughter, Sheryl (Mrs. Robert) Roosa of Webster City; two sons, Randy of Marshalltown and Mark of Burlington, seven grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy (Mrs. Wilbur) Van Langen of Kamrar; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

He was a member of the Flint Hills Nazarene Church, Burlington, and the Webster City Moose Lodge.
