Jesse A. Wing, 70, longtime Stanhope barber, died at about 12:30 p.m. yesterday. He had been pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital following a heart attack suffered early at his home in Stanhope.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope with the Rev. Enoch Hall officiating and with burial in Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Monday when the body will be taken to the church.

Jesse Arnold Wing, son of Theodore and Christina Monson Wing, was born Nov. 9, 1904 at Stanhope where he was reared and educated.

He was united in marriage Sept. 2, 1928 to Alice M. Nelson, and he had always operated a barber shop in Stanhope ever since. Last November, the community had a special observance at his shop honoring him for his 50 years of service as a barber to the community. The event also occurred on his birthday.

He is survived by two sons, Ralph Ernest Wing of Portland, Ore., and Gary Norman Wing of Stanhope; three grandsons and two granddaughters; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Donald (Geneva) Brower of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Leonard Wing of Lynd, Minn., Ernest Wing of Mount Rose, Miss., Clarence Wing of Stanhope and Mrs. Donald (Alice) Hadaway of Stanhope. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope. He was a 50-year member of the Modern Woodmen's Lodge and served as lodge secretary for many years. He was also a member of the Stanhope Commercial club and a past member of the Stanhope Lions club.
