Funeral services for Helen M. Wing, 82, of Stratford, a former Stanhope resident, were held today, April 18 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Stanhope. Rev. Neal Solomonson officiated and burial was in Lawn Hill Cemetery.

Foster Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She died at the Boone County Hospital on Thursday, April 14. She had been a patient for two days.

Helen Margaret Beerman, daughter of Frank and Hulda Horn Beerman, was born Jan. 3, 1906 on a farm southwest of Webster City. She attended rural schools.

On Dec. 25, 1936, she married Clarence H. Wing at Webster City. The couple resided at Stanhope, retiring in 1968. They moved to the Stratford Care Center in September of 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband in February of 1983.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Merle and Janice Wing of Webster City; one grandchild, Cynthia Wing of Ankeny; one brother and two sisters, Richard Beerman of Webster City and Florence (Mrs. Orren) Rogness of Hopkins, Minn., and Mildred (Mrs. Tilman) Rogness of Palm Bay, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers.

Mrs. Wing was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Stanhope.
