Clarence H. Wing, 80, lifelong Stanhope community resident, died Saturday evening at the Stratford Care Center where he had been a resident the past six months.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope with Rev. Terry Morgan officiating and with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery south of Stanhope.

Friends may call at the Foster Funeral home until 8 a.m. Tuesday, at which time the casket will be taken to the church.

Clarence Herman Wing, son of Theodore and Christina Monson Wing, was born Jan. 30, 1903 on a farm north of Stanhope. He was reared and educated in that community.

On Dec. 25, 1936, he was united in marriage to Helen Beerman, and the couple resided in Stanhope where Mr. Wing was employed by the J.H. Macke Mobile Oil Co. for 41 years. He had retired in 1968, and the couple had continued to live in Stanhope until six months ago when they moved to the Stratford Care Center.

He is survived by his wife; one son and one daughter-in-law, Merle and Janice Wing of Webster City; a granddaughter, Cynthia Wing, attending UNI at Cedar Falls; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Don (Alice) Hadaway of Stanhope, Mrs. Don (Geneva) Brower of DeBarry, Fla., Ernest Wing of De Land, Fla., and Leonard Wing of Marshall, Minn.

He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church at Stanhope.
