Mrs. Satre, 72, Stanhope, Dies

Mrs. Imbert S. Satre, 72, long time resident of the Stanhope community, died at 5:20 this morning at the Hamilton county hospital where she had been a patient the past six days. She had been in ill health for the past six years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Our Saviour's Lutheran church in Stanhope with the Rev. Walter E. Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 11 a.m. Friday.

The former Rhea V. Smith, daughter of Judson and Oral Smith, was born June 27, 1887 at Indianola. She moved with her parents to Des Moines when she was eight years old and she attended the Des Moines schools.

She later moved to Nevada, Ia., where she was married to Imbert S. Satre on July 19, 1926.

Mr. and Mrs. Satre farmed near Stanhope for three years and then moved to Denver, Colo., where they lived for three years before returning to Stanhope.

Mrs. Satre is survived by her husband and three sisters, Mrs. Walter Lewis of Whittier, Calif., Mrs. C.H. Keating of Richmond, Calif., and Mrs. E.J. Moore of San Diego, Calif. A number of nieces and nephews also survived.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Satre attended Our Saviours Lutheran church at Stanhope.
