Imbert Satre dies at 84

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bethany Manor chapel at Story City with the Rev. Pernie Pederson, administrator, and the Rev. M.C. Hagedorn, chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral home in Story City until noon Friday when it will be taken to the chapel.

Survivors include two brothers-in-law, E.O. Madson of Story City and Conrad Struber of Jewell, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rhea [Smith]; eight sisters and four brothers.

Mr. Satre was a carpenter in the Stanhope area for many years, moving to Bethany Manor in 1952.

Imbert S. Satre, 84, a former Stanhope resident, died last evening at the Story City Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since last Thursday.
