The Passing of Mrs. Andrew Rehnblom

Charlotta Mathilda Johnson was born February 7, 1856 at Flackbo, Sweden and was there baptized and confirmed. During the year 1870 she emigrated to this country and located at Boone. After living there until 1875 she moved to Ogden. She was united in marriage to Andrew Rehnblom on June 23, 1886 and they moved to their farm east of Stratford where they resided until two years go when they moved into Stratford. To them were born three children, a daughter and two sons. They are: Herbert E., who died at two years of age; Mrs. Helen (Eric) Berglund, of east of Stratford, and Philip E. Rehnblom, a private in the U.S. army now in service in France.

She died at the family home here November 9, 1918 aged 62 years, 9 months and 2 days.

Besides her husband and two children she leaves to mourn her passing her step-mother, Mrs. Augusta Johnson of Ogden; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Borg, Fruita, Colorado; Mrs. Sven Peterson, Ogden and Mrs. Eric Hagaleen, Ogden; four brothers, C.O. Johnson, Detroit, Mich.; John A. Johnson, Memphis, Tenn.; Gust Johnson, Ogden and Alfred Johnson, Ogden. She also leaves one grandson, Dean Berglund of east of Stratford besides numerous friends here and elsewhere.

For many years deceased had been in very poor health but about eighteen months ago developed tuberculosis and has since failed in health rapidly. Though she knew that the end was near she faced it with a Christian's courage and fortitude and went to sleep knowing that she was safely in her Master's keeping. She was a loving wife, a kind mother and a true friend and her passing is mourned by many who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. C.A. Callerstrom of the Lutheran church. He used as his text the words, "The Lord is a portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I love a goodly heritage." - Ps. 16: 5-6.

Interment was made in the Stanhope cemetery besides the remains of her son.
