Gerald Williams, 87, of Webster City, died Monday, April 10, 2017 at Van Diest Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Richard Laird officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Gerald Dean Williams, was born January 26, 1930 on the family farm near Webster City, the son of Virgil and Helen Weir Williams. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1948. Gerald married Marilyn L. Johnston on August 1, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple farmed west of Webster City until his retirement in 1997.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Webster City; son, Kirk Williams of Webb City, MO; daughter, Sherry (Russell) Craig of Marana, AZ; grandchildren, Aaron Craig, Jennifer Tompkins, and Amber Selph; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond (Beverly) Williams of Rockwell City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Williams; brothers, Marvin and Merrill Williams.

Gerald was a member of the New Testament Church of Christ. He was a deacon and trustee with his church, belonged to the tractor club, and enjoyed playing cards with his card club for 65 years. He also served on the board of directors for the Flugstad and Highview Co-operatives. Gerald and Marilyn enjoyed wintering in Mesa, AZ for the last 17 years.
