Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Thursday, July 14, 1927

News was received by relatives here Tuesday morning stating that Mrs. Ned Parker, of Elma, had died at the hospital in Rochester, Minn., where she underwent a goiter operation Saturday. Word had been received that she was getting along fairly well and relatives here were not alarmed about her condition. However, since her mother, Mrs. D.J. Knight, was seriously ill here, Mrs. Parker's condition was not known. Her death was a great shock to all. Mr. and Mrs. Parker were both reared here and made their home here until about 15 years ago when they moved to Elma. Mrs. Parker was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Knight and at the time of her death was about 48 years old. She is survived by her husband and four children.
