DEATH TAKES MRS. KNIGHT

Funeral Services to Be Held at Methodist Church at Stanhope

STANHOPE, Iowa, Sept. 26 - Mrs. D.J. [Daniel] Knight, widely known Stanhope resident, died at her home shortly after midnight Saturday night. Death was caused by complications incident to old age. She had been in poor health for eight years.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the house and at 2 o'clock at the Stanhope Methodist church. The Rev. C.F. Schmidt will officiate and burial will be made in the Stanhope cemetery [Lawn Hill Cemetery]. G.H. Dick, of Stanhope, in charge.

Mrs. Knight was born in South Bend, Ind., Sept. 14, 1855. She came to Iowa with her parents in a covered wagon at the age of 12 years.

She is survived by her husband and three sons, Dan, James and Eugene, all of Stanhope. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Tripp, who lives with the Knight family, Mrs. Nellie Shadle, of Sioux City, and Mrs. Mary Taylor, of Lake Charles, Ind., and one brother, James Ritter, also of Lake Charles.

Two daughters, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
