Mrs. Jacobson Died Saturday

Mrs. Kate Jacobson, 90, longtime resident of the Stratford community, died Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fosberg in Stanhope where she had been residing the past six years. She had been in failing health the past two years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist church in Stratford with the Rev. W.B. Phelps officiating and with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 9:30 Tuesday morning when the body will be taken to the church.

Kate Evans, daughter of Joseph and Celestia Evans, was born November 23, 1873 at DeRuyter, N.Y. She was reared and educated in the Marion township community near Stratford.

She was united in marriage Feb. 20, 1907 to Albert Jacobson and the couple farmed for many years in Marion township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sept. 11, 1935. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two nephews, Philip E. Lowrie of Stratford and Lloyd Peterson of Boone and several grand-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jacobson was a member of the Methodist church in Stratford.
