Surviving are the parents, a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Boller, of Beresford, S.D., a brother, Alton, of Chicago and a sister, Lillian and three brothers, Cecil, Maurice and Merle, at home.

Stratford Courier, Stratford, Iowa, October 29, 1936

Ralph Hedlund Lundquist, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. (Maude Louise Hedlund) Lundquist, was born June 9, 1911, and died in his home here Oct. 19, 1936, at the age of 25 years, 4 months, 10 days.

He is survived by his father and mother, two sisters, Miss Lillian, of Stratford and Mrs. Eugene Boller of Beresford, S. Dak; and four brothers, Alton, of Chicago, Cecil, Maurice and Merle, at home. Many relatives and close friends also survive.

He was educated in the Stratford schools and had since spent his time on the farm, north of Stratford, in farming with his father, a farm on which he was born and on which he died and which he loved. He was of a kind nature, genial to his friends and a great helper for his parents. His friends will ever remember his sunny smile and happy manner. He was always ready to help a friend or neighbor in need without thought of himself and will be remembered by all as a true friend.

Funeral services were held Wednesday with a family service at the home at 1:30 o'clock, followed by one in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Paul Johnson was in charge and he used for his text: "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." from Matthew 11:28. Cyrus Nordblom, of Harcourt, sang, "Let Not Your Heart be Troubled." A mixed quartet composed of Sam Swedlund, George Harrison, Mrs. Harold Bass and Mrs. George Peterson sang, "Jesus Lover of my Soul" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Following the service the remains were laid to rest in Oakwood cemetery, the pallbearers being Emil Erickson, Floyd Ulrick, Herbert Bergman, Alvie Bergman, Lester Bergman, Harold Bergman.
