Albert S. Hill, 69, a longtime Stanhope area resident, died Saturday morning at his home one mile south of Stanhope. Death was sudden, due to a heart attack. He had been in ill health the past nine years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope with the Rev. Enoch Hall officiating and with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Albert Selmer Hill, son of Knut J. and Bertha Nilson Hill, was born Aug. 5, 1904, at Roland, Iowa, where he was reared and educated. He was united in marriage Dec. 22, 1926, to Mabel Tungesvik, and the couple had made their home in Stanhope since 1940.

He is survived by his wife; eight sons and two daughters: Arnie of Des Moines, Maynard of North Glen, Colo., Robert of Spokane, Wash., [first name missing] Lakewood, Colo., Virgil of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Dale (Doris) Moeller, Wildwood, Ill., Lester, Aurora, Colo., Larry, Hiawatha, Iowa, Alice Hill, Marquette, Mich., and Sgt. Raymond Hill of McCord, AFB, Tacoma, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother and four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Johnson of St. Paul, Minn., John Hill of Story City, Mrs. Ted (Cora) Molde of Story City, Mrs. Lowell (Alma) Ellingson of McCallsburg and Miss Mayme Hill of Roland.

He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter, both in infancy; his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope.
