The Stanhope Mail gives the following obituary notice of Mrs. W.J. Haney, who was well known in Stratford: Mrs. Elizabeth Haney, died at her home four and one-half miles south of town, yesterday morning at nine o'clock, after an illness of twelve weeks from typhoid fever.

Jane Elizabeth Galbraith was born in Danville, Montour county, Pa., on the 18th of March 1840, and fifteen years later moved with her parents to Clinton, Iowa. Here she was married to William J. Haney October 1, 1863. On December 24, 1866, Mr. and Mrs. Haney came to Boone county and lived twelve years, after which they moved into this county on the 17th of March, 1877, where they have since resided. The deceased has three brothers and four sisters living, nearly all of whom reside at Clinton. Six children survive the mother, four boys and two girls, and all were present at her bedside when death came.

Tomorrow afternoon at one o'clock funeral services will be held at the M.E. church, of which denomination the deceased has been a faithful member since 1858. The sorrowing family and relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in this affliction.
