Mrs. Eric Berglund, 63, of Stanhope, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home two and three-quarter miles southeast of Stanhope. She had been in failing health the past two years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope, preceded by a brief service at the farm home at 1:30. The Rev. Walter E. Carlson will officiate, with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until Saturday morning, at which time it will be taken to the farm home.

Helen Eleanor Rehnblom, daughter of Andrew and Charlotte Matilda Rehnblom, was born July 3, 1890 on a farm two miles southwest of Stanhope. She was reared and educated in the Stanhope community.

She was united in marriage Oct. 24, 1911 to Eric Berglund and the couple had farmed in the Stanhope community ever since. They had been at their present farm the past 40 years.

Mrs. Berglund is survived by her husband and one son, Deane Berglund, at home; one brother, Philip N. Rehnblom of Stratford. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, who died in infancy.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope. She was very active in church work as long as her health permitted.

A loving wife and mother, her home and her family were always her greatest interests in life.
