Doris Catherine Hove, 54, Stanhope, died of cancer Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Jewell, Rev. Lloyd Wieland officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery in rural Stanhope. Visitation at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is after 3 p.m. today, with the family receiving friends from 6:30-8 p.m.

Doris Catherine Conger, daughter of Millard and Bess Hauser Conger, was born March 2, 1935 in Des Moines. She graduated from Adel High School and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in the Mapleton and Stanhope schools. She married Charles Hove on Aug. 5, 1956, and was employed as a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Charles, Stanhope; a daughter, Susan Kay Olson, Jewell; a son, David Charles Hove, Jewell; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hove was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jewell.
