Margaret "Peg" Hagan, 78, Stanhope, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Stanhope, Rev. Richard Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Visitation at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City is after 6 p.m. tonight until 9 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Stanhope Community Center.

Margaret Mae West, daughter of Robert and Maggie (Knight) West, was born April 27, 1912 in Webster City, where she was educated. She married Joe T. Hagan on Aug. 4, 1935, in Cedar Rapids. The couple resided in Webster City until 1942, when they moved to Stanhope.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, Stanhope; two daughters and a son, Veronica (Mrs. Jerry) Johnson, Jewell; Robert Hagan, Fort Dodge; and Sue (Mrs. Robert) Nelson, Mount Vernon; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel (Mrs. Harold ) Anderson, Stanhope; Helen (Mrs. Ernest) Wing, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mabel Ankrum, Livermore, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, and a brother.

Mrs. Hagan was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Stanhope, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women.
