Funeral services for Albert Granville, 67, longtime Stanhope resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope, preceded by a brief service at 12:45 at Foster's funeral home in Webster City.

The Rev. Walter E. Carlson will officiate with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope.

Mr. Granville died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at his home southwest of Stanhope. Cause of his death was a heart attack.

Albert David Granville, son of Owen J. and Mary Granville was born Oct. 1 [1885] in Newark, Ill. When he was 12 years old, he came with his father and two brothers to Iowa, after the death of his mother, locating on a farm east of Stanhope. During the early part of his life he was engaged in the carpentry trade, but in 1931 he moved to the farm east of Stanhope where he had continued to make his home since that time. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Martin, who died in 1931 and two brothers who died in infancy.

He is survived by one brother, Hilman Granville of Stanhope; two nieces and three nephews; Mrs. Elmer (Ruby) Eklund of Boone, Mrs. H.E. (Florence) Byers of Fort Dodge; Marlin Granville of Ankeny; Herbert Granville of Stanhope and Orelin Granville of Des Moines.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope.
