Fred H. Becker, 96, Tempe, Ariz., died Sept. 9, 2000. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Stanhope Parish, Stanhope, with Pastor Suzie Moore officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow at Lawn Hill Cemetery, Stanhope.

Fred Becker was born July 20, 1904 in Adel. He married Marie Fosberg in 1927. She preceded him in death in 1934. He farmed in Iowa until moving to Phoenix in 1955 where he worked as a house painter.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Vi Becker of Fort Dodge and a daughter and son-in-law, Verda Mae and Ardean Cottington, Tempe, Ariz with whom he lived for nearly 24 years. Other survivors are his six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three brothers and four sisters.
