Mrs. Anna Isvik, 99, died Friday noon at Crestview Manor in Webster City where she had been residing since Dec. 12, 1975. Prior to that she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Esther Crumpton of Webster City, for a year and one half.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at the Bethesda Lutheran church with the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating and with burial in the Evergreen cemetery at Jewell. Becker Funeral home had charge of the services.

She was born March 12, 1877, in Hamilton county, the daughter of Engebrigt Martin Garness and Raunveig Borve Garness.

She attended Jewell high school.

She was married March 3, 1897 to Sjur Isvik at Webster City, and the couple farmed near Jewell where she resided until a year and a half ago when she moved to Webster City to be with her daughter, Mrs. Crumpton.

She was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran church and was very active in the Mission Society and other organizations within the church.

She is survived by eight children: Elmer of Port Orchard, Wash., Laurence of Williams, Mrs. Robert Daube of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Otis Knudson of Flandreau, S.D., Mrs. Esther Crumpton, Webster City, Marvin of Omaha, Mrs. Kenneth Rusk of Dickens, Iowa, and Mrs. Ralph Zolnosky of Sac City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband June 26, 1961; by one son, Alfred Isvik Jan. 17, 1950, by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
