Ottilia Margaret Uthe, 97, Waterloo, formerly of Williams, died August 10, 1999 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church, Waterloo. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Williams. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street in Waterloo. There will be a 3 p.m. senior citizen's rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue an hour before the services on Friday at the church.

Ottilia Margaret Leininger, daughter of Fred and Ottilia Simon Leininger, was born Dec. 26, 1901 at Story City. She married Alouies R. Uthe on Jan. 19, 1926 in Boone. He died Sept. 17, 1982. She was active in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams for 30 years.

Survivors are two daughters, Elaine Uthe and Patricia Lynch, both of Waterloo, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Thomas and two sisters, Clara Sullivan and Gertrude Berg.
