Lamont (Toby) Thompson, 49, of Des Moines died Monday, Sept. 4 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center following complications of Hodgin's Disease. [typo? Hodgkins?]

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. at Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be in the Williams (Iowa) Cemetery [St. Mary's Catholic].

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

He was born in Webster City on June 13, 1940, and moved to Des Moines from Williams 28 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; two sons, Steve and Dave at home; one brother, Archie of Johnston; and three sisters, Mavis Olson of Dunnellon, Fla., Deloris Quelland of Citrus Springs, Fla., and Betty Peterson of Saratoga, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
