Mrs. Frank Smith, 67, a longtime Blairsburg and Williams area resident, died Tuesday evening at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames where she had been a patient for three months. She had been in ill health for several years.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Williams with the Rev. Father J.J. Brickley officiating and with Surls and Grupe funeral home in Williams in charge.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Surls and Grupe funeral home in Williams. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery at Williams.

Margaret Maubach, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Maubach, was born Feb. 4, 1906 at Williams. She was reared and educated in that community.

She was united in marriage Jan. 8, 1924 to Frank Smith and the couple farmed in the Williams and Blairsburg areas until 1965 when they moved into Blairsburg, their home since.

She is survived by her husband, two sons and three daughters, including twin daughters, Mrs. Leo (Lorene) Butler of Williams and Mrs. Harold (Leona) Keane of Jewell; Mrs. Harold (Berniece) Brighton of Ankeny; Robert Smith of Ellsworth and Harold Smith of Blairsburg; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Hoefer of Williams.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and her parents.

She was a member of St. Mary's church in Williams.
