Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Saturday, February 25, 1961

Mrs. W.H. (Margaret) Riley, 73, longtime resident of the Blairsburg community, died at 6:20 p.m. Friday at the Long Nursing home in Iowa Falls where she had been a patient the past five months. She had been in ill health the past nine years.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Williams with Father H.P. Nosbisch officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Catholic cemetery. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Foster funeral home.

Margaret Agnes O'Hare, daughter of Patrick and Johanna O'Hare, was born Jan. 29, 1888, at Amboy, Ill., and was reared and educated in that city. She later moved to Williams, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to William Howard Riley on April 6, 1921. Mr. and Mrs. Riley farmed for several years near Blairsburg, then moved into Blairsburg where Mr. Riley was custodian of the schools for many years.

Mrs. Riley is survived by three sons: Joseph Riley of Sioux City, James and Donald Riley, both of Blairsburg; nine grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Henry McCoy of Boone, and James and John O'Hare of Rochelle, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, July 28, 1959, by her parents, several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Riley was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church at Williams.
