Charlotte Schweppe, 96, of Webster City, died Thursday, February 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will follow the services at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until service time at the church.

Charlotte Lorraine Krog, daughter of Oscar and Eva Christopher Krog, was born May 17, 1920 in Vincent. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School. She taught at Newark Township Country School. She married Edwin George Schweppe on June 29, 1946 at the South Enes Church in Vincent. The couple farmed north of Kamrar. She enjoyed wintering in South Texas for 30 years.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Shari (Bob) Vermett of Webster City; grandchildren, Danielle (Tom) Rossow-West Des Moines, Jamie Vermett of California; great-granddaughter, Erika Rossow of West Des Moines; sister-in-law, Clara Krog of Vincent; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud in 2006; an infant daughter, Sandra Sue Schweppe; brothers, Donald Krog, Russell Krog; brother-in-infancy, Lyle Krog; sister-in-infancy, Violet Krog.

Charlotte was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of Naomi Circle, Independence Friendly Neighbors and the Webster City Women’s Club.
