Feb 9, 2017Robert Gene Jansen, age 76, of Bondurant died on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Unity Point Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Kamrar with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church on Saturday. The Surls Funeral Home in Williams is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Gene Jansen was born on August 13, 1940 near Williams, Iowa, the son of John and Cora (Tapper) Jansen. Robert was a math teacher at Bondurant-Farrar High School and Des Moines Area Community College.
Robert is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Jansen in Williams and several Jansen and Tapper cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Duane Jansen. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Special Olympics of Iowa or to Taylor House Hospice in his name.
