Marjorie Harriet Anderson, 93, formerly of Jewell, IA, residing at Crestview Manor in Webster City, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at The Van Diest Hospital in Webster City, Iowa.

Marjorie Harriet Anderson was born June 6, 1923 to Arnold and Agnes (Johnson) Henderson.

Marjorie graduated from Randall High School in 1941. Marjorie was a long-time resident of Jewell.

On June 6, 1942 she married Donald Anderson .

She was an avid organist and piano player. She played for weddings, funerals, Sunday services and many, many South Hamilton student contests.

She loved to knit, crochet, play cards, have morning coffee with the ladies. She also loved to cook. The familys' favorites were caramel rolls, kringla, kumla, and graham cracker pie.

Marjorie is survived by her children Susan (Larry) Gardiner of Eldridge, Iowa, Mary (Paul) Potter of Iowa City, Iowa, Richard (Julie) Anderson of Alexandria, Minnesota, Sara (Karl) Piere of Parnell, Iowa, and David (Sharon) Anderson of Ames, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her one sister Ardyce Bergeson of Nevada, Iowa.

Her husband Donald, son Dale, grandson Tom Dunahoo and brother Curtis Henderson preceded her in death
