Sabin T. Hall, 91, longtime Webster City resident, died Wednesday night at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient the past two weeks. He had been in ill health the past year and a half.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. S.W. Cunningham officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.
Sabin Thomas Hall, son of Edgar E. and Phoebe Dodge Hall, was born Feb. 20, 1879, at Colesburg, Iowa, where he was reared and educated. He moved with his parents to the Homer community in 1898.
He was united in marriage Dec. 25, 1901, to Lora Edith Risk, and the couple farmed near Homer until 1944, when they moved into Webster City. Mr. Hall engaged in the real estate business in Webster City for many years.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Glenn Hall of Stratford, Howard Hall of Dayton and Miss Leota Hall of Webster City; eight granddaughters and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. J.H. Riley, in 1969, by four brothers and one sister.
He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church, the Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Odd Fellows.
He was a member of the Hamilton County hospital board of trustees for many years.
