Funeral services for Mrs. Asher Cordes, 41, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, preceded by brief services at 1:30 at the Foster Funeral home.

The Rev. H. H. Schauland will officiate. Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery.

Esther Edith West, daughter of Joseph and Mildred West, was born November 6, 1912, at Webster City, and was reared and educated in the Webster City schools. She was united in marriage May 18, 1934, to Asher B. Cordes, and they have made their home in Webster City since their marriage.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Deryl (Donna Lee) Briggs, Webster City; Mary Alice and Asher B. Jr., at home. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Joe (Mildred) Brower of Webster City; one sister and three brothers, Mrs. George (Dorothy) McIntyre of Alhambra, Calif., O.R. West of Greeley, Colo., J.C. West of Dallas, Texas, and Grayson West of Camp Roberts, Calif.

Mrs. Cordes was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church at Webster City.
