James K. Sinn, Sr., 43, lifelong resident of Webster City, died suddenly Tuesday evening.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Hamilton county hospital at about 5:30 p.m., according to County Medical Examiner Dr. E. K. Lowary, after having been brought to the hospital from his home by the civil defense rescue truck.

An autopsy was scheduled today to determine the cause of death.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. George Eddy officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery where military services will be held at graveside.

James Keith Sinn, son of James I. and Susie Matilda Sinn, was born Dec. 24, 1920, at Webster City. He received his education at the Webster City schools, being graduated with the class of 1941. In 1942, he entered service in World War II, serving in the European war theater with the 82nd Airborne Div.

Following his discharge in 1945, he returned to Webster City and was employed for two years with the Iowa National Guard. He then accepted a position with the American Chiropractic association for which he had been serving as supervisor of general services.

He was united in marriage Aug. 28, 1942, to Rozella Miller and the couple always had resided in Webster City.

He is survived by his wife; one son and one daughter, Mrs. Wyman (Pat) Wilson, and James K. Sinn, Jr., both of Webster City; one grandson, Robert Keith Wilson; his father, one brother and one sister, Lyle Sinn, Webster City, and Mrs. Kenneth (Sophia) Bauer of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Jack.

Mr. Sinn was a member of the First Baptist church, the American Legion and the Elks Lodge. From 1958 to 1961, he served as drillmaster for the American Legion Boy's Chorus and Drill Team of Post 191. He also served as a Cubmaster from 1955 to 1957.
