DIES AT HOME IN THIS CITY

Henry Achenbach, 79, in Failing Health Past Two Years

Henry Achenbach, 79, died at 5 a.m. today at this home, 811 Elm street, after a long illness. He had been in failing health two years and had been bedfast a week.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. W.C. Fleischer, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

He was born Feb. 3, 1863, near Fairfield, where he was baptized in the Lutheran faith in infancy and confirmed at the age of 14.

He was married Dec. 4, 1895, in Macon, Mo., to Martha Rauscher, of Lockridge, Iowa. In 1910 they moved to Blue Earth, Minn., and in 1922 they moved to Webster City.

He leaves his wife, two sons, Dr. Carl Achenbach, of Boone, and Harold, of the 137th infantry, San Francisco; and three daughters, Mrs. L.M. Rogers, city; Mrs. C.M. Nuoffer, of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Harold MacArthur, of Seattle. There are five grandchildren and an aged sister in Salisbury, Mo.

Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
