MRS. ONKEN, AGE 56, DIES

Funeral Services to Be Held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Herman Onken, 56, died this morning at 9:30 o'clock at her farm home, south of this city, after an illness of two weeks.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church, the Rev. W.C. Fleischer, pastor, officiating. There will be a brief service at the home preceding the church service; burial in Graceland cemetery. Foster's in charge.

Miss Dena Lubbers, was born Dec. 11, 1877, in Hartsburg, Logan county, Ill., and came to Webster City in 1901. She was married Nov. 18, 1905 to Herman Onken, in this city, and the family have made their home near here since that time.

She is survived by her husband, three sisters, two brothers, two half brothers and a stepfather, E.R. Lubbers of Deland, Ill. The sisters are Mrs. W.J. Hueisinga [other family obituaries spell it Huisinga] of Jewett [other family obituaries it said Jewell] , Ill.; Mrs. Herman Brims of Grenuf, Ill., and Mrs. Peter Remmers, of Bondville, Ill.; the brothers are Reemt Lubbers of Chicago and Ike Lubbers of Northfield, Minn. Sweeter Lubbers of Deland, Ill., and Otto Lubbers of Monticello, Ill. are step-brothers.

One sister died in infancy and a brother, Lubbert Lubbers, died four years ago.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
