Clifford Lubbers, 56, died at 9:30 a.m. today at the Hamilton county hospital following a short illness.

Time and place of services will be announced tomorrow. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home.

Clifford Lubbers, son of Lubbert and Wendelena [Remmers] Lubbers, was born July 9, 1905, near (unreadable), Ill. In 1910, he came with his parents to Iowa, locating on a farm near Webster City.

He was reared and educated in Webster City, graduating from Lincoln High school. Since 1953, Mr. Lubbers had been employed by the Nissen Packing Co.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Herman Onken, Webster City; two brothers and one sister, Verne Lubbers and Elston Lubbers, both of Webster City, and Dr. Anna L. Slocum of Des Moines; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, and his stepfather, Herman Onken, who died last month.

Mr. Lubbers was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Lubbers Rites Here Friday

Funeral services for Clifford Lubbers, 56, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Robert Taylor of Ames officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Lubbers died at 9:30 Wednesday morning at the Hamilton county hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Lubbers is survived by his mother, Mrs. Herman Onken, Webster City; two brothers and one sister, Verne Lubbers and Elston Lubbers, both of Webster City; and Dr. Anna L. Slocum of Des Moines. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lubbers was a member of the Reorganized church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
