Mrs. Ruth L. Buckley, 46, of 512 Walnut St., died suddenly last evening at the Hamilton County hospital after a brief illness.

Private family services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at Foster's Funeral home with commital services to be held at Graceland cemetery.

Public memorial services will also be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church with Rev. G. L. Milbrath officiating.

Ruth L. Smith, daughter of Charles and Bertha Hanna Smith, was born Oct. 24, 1932 at Forest City, Iowa. She was reared and educated at Forest City. The family lived for a brief time in Riceville, returning then to Forest City.

She was married March 17, 1951 at Forest City to Robert A. Buckley and the family moved to Webster City in 1959. She had been recently employed at the Hy-Vee Food store here.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. James (Jackie) Mortenson of Ankeny, Robin Buckley of Nevada, Mrs. William (Holly) Weers of Webster City and Beth Buckley also of Webster City, and one son, Richard Buckley, Webster City; three sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Maxine) Kapka of Rowan, Iowa, Mrs. Luther (June) Smith, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Hans (Shirley) Teigen, Webster City, one brother, Jack Smith of Klemme, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and served as a St. Paul's nursery school teacher for nine years.
