Anabel Ostheimer, 106 of Iowa Falls, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Hansen Family Hospital, Iowa Falls. Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Linn's Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 p.m. on March 23, 2016 at Linn's Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls.

Anabel Ostheimer, 106 of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Hansen Family Hospital, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Anabel Ostheimer will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. A time of visitation and story telling will be from 12:30 until 2:00 pm also on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. Burial will be at the Alden Township Cemetery, Alden, Iowa. Anabel Irene Ostheimer was born June 27, 1909 to Ira Jackson and Anna Josephine (Whitesell) Highley in Iowa Falls, Hardin County, Iowa. She attended an Iowa Falls Country School north of town. Anabel was united in marriage to Harold Kenneth Ostheimer on Oct. 30, 1926. To this union was born a son, Robert and a daughter, Shirley. Anabel enjoyed and loved her family. She was happiest when caring for them and preparing the best meals for everyone to enjoy. She gardened most of her life and served, preserved, or shared all she grew. She was a great candy maker and shared candies with all!

Anabel is survived by her son, Robert (Wilma) Ostheimer and daughter, Shirley Ridout of Iowa Falls; her six grandchildren: Valerie (Tim) Pekarek of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Vickie (Terri) Noonan of St. Paul, Minnesota; Jim (Rhonda) Ostheimer of Iowa Falls; Jeff ( Sondra) Ostheimer of Boscobel, Wisconsin; Bud (Deb) Ridout of Kasota, Minnesota; Scott (Monica) Ridout of Eldora, Iowa; 13 great grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and many loved nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira Highley; her mother, Anna and step-father, Cady Bacon; her husband, Harold; her son-in-law, Ted Ridout; granddaughter, Judy Ostheimer; great grandson, J.R. Ostheimer; sisters, Dorothy Bump and Virginia Thompson; and brother, Franklin Highley.
