David Hanover of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Mercy of North Iowa Hospice Center in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services for David Hanover are pending at this time. The Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements.

David Arthur Hanover, 85, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, formerly of Palm Springs, California, and Niles, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Mercy of North Iowa Hospice House in Mason City, Iowa. Graveside services will be held at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Niles, Illinois at a later date.

David Arthur Hanover was born on December 13, 1931 in Gladbrook, Iowa to Roswell Ames and Petra [Holden] Hanover. He attended the Gladbrook School District, graduating in 1949. After graduation, he was trained, and worked as a telegraph operator for the railroad in central Iowa. He then joined the United States Army where he continued to work as a Telegraph Operator. This lead him to his lifetime career as a Telegraph Operator, again working for the Railroad in Chicago, Illinois. He married the love of his life, Mary F. Graziano on April 11, 1959. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1058 in Glenview, Illinois. After retirement he loved traveling with Mary, and visited many states. They retired to Palm Springs, California in 2003.

David Hanover is preceded in death by his parents: Roswell Ames and Petra Hanover; his wife: Mary F. Hanover; a son: Lonnie D. Hanover; two brothers and a sister: Kenneth Hanover, Beverly Pierce, and Curtis Hanover; also by a brother and sister in infancy. David is survived by his sister: Doris (Joe) White of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and his brother: Ross Hanover of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
