Donald Clabaugh, 80, formerly of Stanhope, passed away September 24, 2015 at Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center in Stratford. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 12 at Soderstrum-Reimers Funeral Home (formerly Becker Funeral Home) in Jewell. Burial will be in Lawn Hill Cemetery, rural Stanhope.

Donald Charles Clabaugh was born October 10, 1934 to Charles and Goldie (Munson) in Webster City, Iowa. Donald married Fern Faiferlick on August 17, 1963. Donald served in the United States Army from November of 1955 to October of 1956, and then in the US Army Reserves until November of 1961. He was a farmer, raised cattle, and enjoyed attending auctions.

Donald is survived by his wife, Fern Clabaugh of Stanhope; two sons, Michael Donald (Patty) Clabaugh of Stanhope and Anthony James (Robin) Clabaugh of Jewell; and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jennifer J. Clabaugh; and two sons, Nicholas Joseph Clabaugh and Jerome Lynn Clabaugh.
