Lynn (Hook) Berryhill, 69, lifelong Kamrar resident, died Sunday morning at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines after being admitted there earlier in the morning.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Paul D. Williamson officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Lynn Mercer Berryhill, son of Isaac Gale and Sarah Espe Berryhill, was born Oct. 18, 1907 at Kamrar, where he was reared and educated. [He was a member of the Class of 1926, Kamrar High School]

He later attended the university of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls.

He was united in marriage April 28, 1938 to Henrietta Cook, and the couple had always resided in Kamrar where Mr. Berryhill engaged in pump installation and repair.

He had served as town councilman and mayor of Kamrar in former years and was a past chairman of the Hamilton county Democratic committee.

He is survived by his wife, two brothers and two sisters, Ralph Berryhill of Council Bluffs, Claire Berryhill of Vincent, Mrs. Esther Lanning of Helena, Mont., and Mrs. Synva Halliday of Gowrie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sarah Jo in 1955; four brothers and one sister.
