George Wessels, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 24, at the Hamilton County hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Wessels will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Camp of the Kamrar Presbyterian church in charge.

Mr. Wessels was born Sept. 14, 1890 at Diele, Germany, the son of John and Margerette Wessels. At an early age he came to America and spent most of his adult life in the Kamrar area where he was engaged in the building trade. On Dec. 7, 1937, he was united in marriage to Minnie Naber at the Presbyterian church of Kamrar, and the couple had resided ever since in the Kamrar community.

He is survived by his wife; two nieces and one nephew, Mrs. William Myers of Lakota, Iowa, Mrs. Jake Myers of Britt, Iowa, and Orville Wessels of Albert Lea, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He was a member of the Kamrar Presbyterian church and served as an elder for four years.
