VERNON WEPEL DIED FRIDAY

10-Year Old Boy Stricken Suddenly at Hospital Here.

Vernon Fred Wepel, ten-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Heiko Wepel, living north of this city, died suddenly Friday morning at the hospital where he had been taken only a short time before.

The boy had complained of severe headaches Thursday evening, and when they came worse Friday morning he was moved to the hospital about 9 o'clock. He died about 10:30.

The boy reportedly fell off a pony near his home several days ago, and doctors in charge of the case stated the fall may have had a direct bearing on his death Friday morning.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home, the Rev. H.F. Sinning of Kamrar and burial in the Presbyterian cemetery east of Kamrar.

Son of Heiko and Gertie Wepel, Vernon Fred Wepel was born July 25, 1934 at Lawler, Minn. When he was a year old he moved with his parents to the farm north of Webster City where they had since lived.

Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Margaret Matthews and Mrs. Lester Elliott, of this city, Bert and Arlene at home.

Vernon was a pupil in the fourth grade at White Fox school. He was a good student and was popular among his classmates and had many friends who will miss him greatly.
