MRS. HILKE WELP DIES AT HOME NEAR KAMRAR

Came to This County From Germany 36 Years Ago

Mrs. Hilke Welp, 84, died at her home three miles north of Kamrar, last night at 11:30 o'clock. Her death was caused by complications due to her age.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the home and at 2 pm. at the German Presbyterian church, northeast of Kamrar. The Rev. H. N. Gerdes will officiate.

Mrs. Welp, who was born in Germany, came to this country 36 years ago settling in the community near Kamrar. The family has lived there ever since. She is survived by seven children, all except one son living near home. The one son, Dick, lives at Titonka. Mrs. Welp's husband died several years ago [Adolph Welp 1827-1907].

Since coming to this county, the Welp family has taken an active part in its upbuilding. Mrs. Welp was especially active in the work of the church.
