KAMRAR MAN KILLED IN CRASH.

Truck Goes Into Ditch Near Kamrar.

Mervin Van Langen Loses Life and Two Others Severely Injured.

Head Was Crushed.

Truck in Which Men Were Riding Leaves Road and Overturns.

Mervin Van Langen, 25, was killed and Louis Van Langen, a cousin, and Louis Brinkema were seriously injured yesterday about 4 p.m. when the truck in which they were riding left the road and crashed into a ditch. The accident happened about three and a half miles east of Kamrar. It was said Louis Van Langen was driving the truck at the time of the accident and lost control of the machine.

Mervin Van Langen was killed almost instantly, suffering severe fractures on his head.

Louis Brinkema received severe lacerations about his face and scalp as well as many bruises about his body.

Louis Van Langen was the more seriously injured, suffering a fractured collar bone, broken wrist and several fractured ribs.

The injured men were taken to Webster City for examination, but later were taken to their homes.

The truck when it left the road, overturned in the ditch damaging the machine to some extent. Motorists who happened by shortly after the crash took the men to Kamrar and later the two were taken to Webster City.

Mervin Van Langen is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben [Minnie Heyer] Van Langen, and three sisters, Mrs. George Hassebrock, Mrs. Guy Hassebrock and Mrs. Seafka Mechaelsen, all of Kamrar.

No funeral arrangements have been announced.
