Mrs. Ubben's Rites Saturday

KAMRAR - Mrs. Arend Ubben, 54, of rural Ellsworth, died yesterday at 12:10 p.m. at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames. She had been ill the past several months.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the First Presbyterian church at Kamrar. A family prayer service is planned at 1:30 at the Becker funeral home in Jewell. The Rev. Loren E. Parman will officiate and burial will be in the Presbyterian church cemetery.

Myrtle Thelma Hegland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hegland, was born July 14, 1908 at Ellsworth. She was married Feb. 19, 1938, at the First Presbyterian church in Kamrar to Arend Ubben and the couple had farmed in the Ellsworth-Williams community for the past 20 years.

Surviving are her husband; two sons and one daughter, Paul Bernard, Marilyn Ann and Robert Eugene, all at home.

Also surviving are three brothers, Belmond Hegland of Stanhope, Terry Hegland of Radcliffe and Irvin Hegland, Radcliffe; one sister, Mrs. George Carnell of New Providence, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.
