Mrs. S.J. (Effie) Trampel, 81, longtime Williams area resident, died Monday afternoon at Mary Greeley hospital where she had been a patient for 11 days.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First United Presbyterian church in Kamrar with the Rev. Marvin L. Camp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church. Soloist for the service will be the Rev. John Riebhoff of Fort Dodge.

Effie Timmer, daughter of Frank and Hilka Williams Timmer, was born Oct. 20, 1895 in Kamrar. At the age of 14, she moved to Kossuth county with her parents. When she was 20 years old, she moved back to the Kamrar area.

On April 20, 1917, she was united in marriage to Sinus J. Trampel and the couple farmed in the Kamrar area until 1928 when they moved to a farm in the Williams area. They retired in 1946 and moved into Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband in August, 1958.

She is survived by one son and four daughters, Andrew Trampel, Mrs. Edwin (Helen) Jensen and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Ubben, all of Williams, Mrs. Howell (Emma) Boyd, Jr. of Eldora and Mrs. Gene (Dorothy) Mahrenholz of Fort Dodge; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, who died in infancy; her parents; and five sisters.

Mrs. Trampel was a member of the First United Presbyterian church at Kamrar.
