Mrs. John Trampel passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 73 years and 11 days. She had been ill for several months. The funeral was held Friday, Feb. 20, at the Presbyterian church east of town, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Gerdes and the body was laid to rest in the Presbyterian cemetery. Mrs. Trampel was born in Germany, Feb. 6, 1852. She was united in marriage to John Trampel in 1874 and in the spring of 1881 they came to America and settled on their farm east of town. In 1912 they moved to town. She leaves her aged husband, seven children and 28 grandchildren to mourn her death. One son, August, died in 1923. A large circle of friends extend their sympathy to them in their great bereavement.
