Anna M. Tapper, 87, Webster City, died Sept. 4, 1992 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Community Church, east of Kamrar. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Margaret Tapper, daughter of Harm and Antje (Van Heiden) Tapper, was born Jan. 15, 1905 on a farm near Webster City. She attended Webster City schools, graduating in 1923. She taught in rural schools in Hamilton County and near Buffalo Center. She then attended Cosmetology School in Waterloo and owned and operated shops at Buffalo Center, Jewell and Webster City. She had also been employed at the Frigidaire (Beams) and a bank in Ames. Upon retirement, she moved to Webster City.

She is survived by sisters, Jennie Roberts of Webster City and Etta Sherman of Iowa Falls; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harm and Sye; and sister, Hilka Luppes.

She was a member of the Community Church.
