Mrs. Lizzy Brinkema was born February 27, 1861 and died Oct. 6th, 1913 at the age of 52 years, 7 months and 22 days. On March 18, 1878 she married Ernest Brinkema, the marriage was blessed with 13 children, 7 sons and 6 daughters. Her husband died about 14 years ago. Mrs. Brinkema was a member of the German Presbyterian church east of Kamrar which she attended very regularly. She confessed to have found the Savior who came to seek and to find that which was lost. The burial took place October 9th, the spacious church being filled to its capacity. Rev. H. N. Gerdes assisted by Rev. J. Brinkema, of Hastings, Nebr., preached the funeral sermon. His text was John 17:24.
