Florence Arlene Kalseim Sept. 30, 1923 — June 6, 2015

Florence Arlene Kalseim passed away June 6, 2015, at Bethany Manor, Story City, at the age of 91 years. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City.

Florence was born on Sept. 30, 1923, in Jewell to parents Mentz and Hannah (Olson) Theodorson. She graduated from Jewell high school. Florence married Robert V. Kalseim on Feb. 8, 1948. She worked as a secretary for South Hamilton Community School for twenty-one years. She lived her life in the Jewell and Story City areas. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Florence enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and ceramics. She loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake. Robert and Florence were very active with the Shriners.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Valerie Harms, of Clinton Township, Mich., and a grandson, Jason Harms.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Kalseim, on Sept. 11, 1993; two sisters, Ruth Eames and Gladys Frye, and her son-in-law, Stanley Harms.
