Norma L. Richardson, 83, of Lehigh, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the hospital in Webster City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery near Lehigh. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. scripture service.

Norma Lea Mueller was born to Frank and Ardyse (Hanson) Mueller on January 4, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved to Fort Dodge as a young child and attended Fort Dodge schools. Her family moved to rural Lehigh and she graduated from Burnside High School in 1951. Norma married Donald Richardson at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lehigh on May 24, 1951. They lived near and in Lehigh during their 64-year marriage. She worked for Webster County Public Health, Webster County Extension and was the activity coordinator at Gowrie Care Center. While Norma was in her 50s she received her Associate of Arts Degree in Human Services from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. She enjoyed volunteering before and after her retirement and received recognition from the Governor's Volunteer Award Program for her work at Southeast Webster Elementary School. One of her favorite pastimes was crocheting things for family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and raising flowers.

Norma's family includes her husband, Don of Lehigh; children, Kathy and Larry Hough, Indianapolis, Indiana; Jim and Rose Richardson, Lehigh and Phil and Kristi Richardson, Lehigh, six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ardyse Mueller; step-father Stephen Anderson and brother Richard Mueller.

Norma was a person of faith who lived life to the fullest and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
