JEWELL - Mrs. Ella Tatham, 97, Jewell's oldest resident and one of Hamilton county's oldest pioneers, died at 7:30 Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harvey Caruth. She had suffered a strike in February, 1935, and had been bedfast since.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Becker Funeral home at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Mark Wetteland will officiate with burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Ella Kiser, daughter of Elisha and Mary Ann Kiser, was born August 12, 1857 in Shelby county, Ohio. She was married in Ohio March 29, 1883, to Martin V. Tatham.

Four children were born to this union, three of whom survive: Mrs. Alice Caruth of Jewell, Mrs. Nellie Larson of Freeborn, Minn. and Mrs. Bessie Fannon of Centerville, Iowa; four grandchildren, Esther Voss, Clarence Caruth, Gale Larson and Muriel Brock.

Mrs. Tatham was a member of the Federated church in Jewell.
